A Note on How to Use This Website
About This Website
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a complete, structured medical system with over 2,000 years of documented clinical history. The information on this website is written to help you understand it — not to replace a personal consultation with a practitioner.
Balancepoint Chinese Med Clinic publishes educational content about TCM, acupuncture, and the conditions we support — so that patients can make informed decisions before walking through our door. We write with care and accuracy, and we update our content as the field evolves.
Education vs. Clinical Advice
Reading about a condition or treatment on this website is a starting point — not a clinical assessment. What you read here describes how TCM approaches health in general. What happens in your session is specific to you: your constitution, your history, your pattern.
We encourage you to use this website to get informed, ask better questions, and arrive at your consultation with clarity. But the actual diagnosis, treatment plan, and clinical decisions are made in person — not online.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact emergency services immediately.
TCM and Conventional Medicine
Our practitioners are trained and experienced in Traditional Chinese Medicine. TCM operates from a different diagnostic framework than Western allopathic medicine — it reads the body through pulse, tongue, constitution, and pattern — and this is a strength, not a limitation.
Most of our patients see us alongside their GP, specialist, or existing medical care. We work well in that environment. We do not ask patients to stop conventional treatment, and we communicate with other healthcare providers where it helps your outcomes. If you have questions about how TCM fits with your current care, ask us directly — we are happy to discuss it.
Outcomes and Individual Response
TCM treats the person, not just the condition — which means results are individual. The outcomes and patient experiences referenced on this website are genuine, but they reflect specific people with specific patterns. Your response to treatment will depend on your constitution, the chronicity of your condition, lifestyle factors, and other variables your practitioner will assess with you.
We do not make guarantees. What we do commit to is clinical rigour, honest communication, and treatment that is always tailored to you.
Third-Party Links
This website may link to external resources for informational purposes. Balancepoint does not control or take responsibility for third-party content. We recommend reviewing the policies of any external site you visit.
Limitation of Liability
Information on this website is provided in good faith and to the best of our knowledge. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Balancepoint Chinese Med Clinic and its practitioners are not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of content read on this website, without a clinical consultation.
Before Your First Session
Every new patient at Balancepoint receives a full TCM assessment before treatment begins. This is how we ensure your care is safe, appropriate, and personalised. If you are pregnant, on blood-thinning medication, undergoing oncology treatment, or have a complex medical history, please let us know when you book — we’ll ensure your practitioner is fully prepared.
